Membership Eligibility

All Christians and Christian organizations are eligible for membership.  FIRST, CFCI IS NOT A RELIGIOUS DENOMINATION.  Since CFCI is not a religious denomination, churches and religious organizations should feel free to join if they believe their mission and goals are the same or similar to those of CFCI.  Since we are not a denomination, our organization will never be in competition with your current organization.  Denominational churches join because they want to have a place to contribute to the establishment and building of churches all over the world, and they just simply believe in what we are doing as we train and assist churches to reach their God-ordained potential.

If you are a credential holder (license or ordained) in your current organization, receiving credentials from CFCI will make you a dual credential holder.  You will not need to relinquish your current credentials with your current organization.  If you are a current credential holder with your denomination and choose to receive credentials with CFCI, CFCI will honor your past ordination and issue credentials to you.  Credentials are renewed each year to remain in good standing with the organization.

Why CFCI?

The primary purpose of CFCI is to function as a central point for Christian fellowship for churches or Christian Organizations; to be a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached and taught; to provide a setting for mutual fellowship and support between churches; to provide a central point for coordinating the actions and activities for the Fellowship; provide a central responsible source for ordaining ministers; to establish and build churches; to sponsor missionary activities; to provide counsel, guidance and mentoring for churches and ministers within the Fellowship; to provide an avenue for church training; and to host an annual gathering of the Fellowship of Churches for the purpose of worship and to conduct the business of the Fellowship.  The mission of Concord shall be developed through four primary directives of the organization, namely:

1.  Assembling a group of churches and Christian organizations, or establishing churches to become partners in the ministry effort.  By partnering with CFCI, each church maintains its own set of values, traditions, and practices, as long as they are not in conflict with the Core Values of CFCI.

2.  Establishing a Christian Education Ministry for people of all ages through a Department of Education, and the training of Christian workers in a manner that fulfills their purpose.

3.  Focus on Missions and Evangelism that is designed to seek and meet the needs of all people regardless of race, color, or gender, in a physical, financial, emotional, and spiritually context.  CFCI will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, or physical disability; however, CFCI reserves the right to make judgment of an interested group’s religious practices in order to ensure that it is a Christian congregation or a Christian Organization and that it abides by Holy Scriptures as interpreted by the organization.

4.  Establishing a centralized system of management for the purpose of providing assistance; ordinations; establishing new church organizations; discipline; cooperative endeavors; and acting as a “spiritual covering” for ministries and organizations who have none.

What You Will Receive As a Result of Membership

1.     Assistance in establishing administrative processes and procedures within your organization, i.e. job descriptions, limited tax advice, Board Member responsibilities, establishing organizational birth documents within your state to include incorporation and tax exemption through your state comptroller, etc.  This assistance is given upon request.

2.     Assistance in formulating a plan for establishing/birthing a church.  An organized checklist of what should be done will be provided as well as advice in how to execute the goals listed on the checklist.

3.     A periodic communication from the Presiding Bishop on issues of concerns which affect churches and ministry leaders today including:  finance, church law, building leadership teams, biblical worship, biblical counseling, pointers in the art of preaching, marriage and family, theology, and much much more.

4.     All levels of credentialing for ministry workers to include Minister License and Ordinations (both minister and deacons)

5.     One-on-one advice and mentoring as needed.

6.     A place for accountability.  (Every pastor should be accountable.  The greatest failures in ministry take place when ministry leaders fail to be accountable through some mechanism).

This and much more.  CFCI recognizes the autonomy and individuality of each local church or organization.  Each member organization is assured of independence of conscious as it applies to their beliefs and church polity.
